Builders’
merchants are a vitally important distribution channel for
Baggeridge with in excess of 50 per cent of sales generated
through this outlet. This is why the company is committed
in going the extra mile for this sector to ensure that they
add value to the merchant distribution chain.
Last
year Baggeridge introduced its highly successful ‘mixed
load option’ aimed at helping merchants keep their stockholding
to a minimum. The multitude of load variations offered by
Baggeridge has enabled merchants, large or small, to significantly
increase their stock offer without the necessity of holding
full loads of every product. Blue bricks, stock and wirecut
facings, red class ‘B’, pavers and specials are
all available on the same load and just six months since the
launch, merchants across the country – from nationals
to independents have reported financial and commercial rewards.
Baggeridge also announced positive changes to its working
procedures, increasing trading hours at its Sedgley head office
to ensure customers’ contact around the working day
clock. New trading relationships were also initiated and 'twinning'
was introduced, where customers have one contact at head office
and one contact from the external sales team to improve that
all important relationship between Baggeridge and its customer
base.
2007 will see Baggeridge continue to offer merchants free
delivery on any smooth blue or smooth red order (of over 200)
from its well renowned and extensive range of ‘Specials’.
Mixed packs of different special shapes are available which
are ideal for yards where space is limited. For delivery of
quantities less than 200 a competitive courier service is
now available.
Available from all factories, Baggeridge carry in excess of
one million specials in either smooth red or blue on stock
ensuring that this important and value added product is always
available to its merchant partners.
